Images Enhance Carved Wood Signs
Carved wooden signs will say a lot about your business, home, cabin, camp, lodge or RV. Aside from telling customers, visitors and friends who you are, it will tell them a little about the business, your personality or your sentiments as well. There are many important factors to consider when planning how your sign will look. Font is powerful factor, as it determines how the actual text will appear. Text in one font can deliver a different message altogether than the same text of another font choice. Font choice alone can deliver formality, whimsy, rusticity and hundreds of themes: Western, Cartoon, Sailing, Hunting, Fishing, etc. The size of your sign can also make a difference, but the larger it is, the more it will cost. This is because it will take more materials to build it, and therefore, more labor as well. Often larger signs require laminating many cedar members of greater thickness to create a plaque large enough to make a solid and stable sign panel. It’s not unlike a bowling alley or a chopping block.
