Is this a fair price to pay for hand-scraped hard wood floors?
The bedroom is 10'10" x 11'9", closet is 6'9" x 4'2". Flooring is "hand-scraped", and we have not requested any high-quality wood than the standard. The quote is $2,750. That seems pretty steep, but what do I know? Looking for someone who DOES know.

You need about 160 sq. ft. of flooring. Add to that the needed 7% waste and the total is about 170 ft. I don't know what brand your hardwood is but the hand scraped style is usually a bit more expensive. The wood is probably from $4 per ft. to $7 per ft. or $680 to $1200.
Labor costs vary from $2 to $4 per sq. ft. depending on where you live. You can count on $350 to $700 for installation.
At any rate, this is a small one day affair and anything in excess of $2000 is too much. You should be able to get the job done for around $1500 easily.
