I used to 2 in 1 Minwax wood stain and got bubbles. Why?
I sanded the wood really good and used mineral spirits to clean before staining.
The two things I did wrong were:
I used a VERY cheap paint brush and I applied a second coat before the first coat dried.
Which caused the bubbles.
I hope you didn't shake the container before use. The cheap paint brush didn't do you any favors but I think things really went wrong because you didn't wait for the first coat to dry before reapplying. It is best to let the first coat completely dry, then go over it with a very fine steel wool, then reapply the second coat.
